The Painting

First Light — abstract painting by Charlene Falk

Original painting: 60 × 60 in.

Golden washes of sunlight bloom across the canvas, veined with blush, cream and warm umber. The feeling is pure dawn, hopeful, radiant and full of promise. This luminous abstract fills any bedroom, breakfast nook or sunlit living room with warmth. The mood is hopeful and radiant.

It is part of Charlene Falk's Desert Mirage series — a mirage is something in the distance, hazy and shimmering, almost real, never quite touchable; these paintings show the desert the way a mirage lets you see it.
